This fabulous itinerary has been especially designed to appeal to families with children and during the tour you will visit the most beautiful dunes in the world, breathless mountainous vistas, countless wild animals and a Himba tribe. The driving distances, (where possible), have been kept to a minimum and the places visited have all been chosen with a mind for families activities. The minimum age on this itinerary is 5 years and the safari is on request with a minimum number of 2 adults and 1 child. The style of safari is semi-accommodated / assisted camping (there are two accommodated nights included in the itinerary in Swakopmund on the Skeleton Coast) and the price is virtually fully inclusive of everything required whilst on the road with us.

1st day
Early morning departure from Windhoek. You travel in the direction of the Namib Desert Camp, located outside of the Namib Naukluft Park, passing through the Khomas Hochland Mountains and then the Naukluft Mountains
Afternoon departure to Solitaire where you will make a short stop for refreshing yourself
Arrival at Camping outside the Naukluft Park and accommodation in the late afternoon. Dip in the pool and sunset all together
Overnight stay

2nd day
Starting very early in the morning to Sossusvlei in the Naukluft Park (250 km), to see the sunrise on the dunes. Stops to take photos along the road that take you to the desert, built along the bed of a dry river
You climb the famous “Big Daddy” dune, and visit to the Dead Vlei. Then you will get a walk on the Dune 45
Visit to the Sesriem Canyon in the evening, before sunset
Back to the camp for a refreshing swim
Overnight stay

3rd day
Starting very early to Swakopmund (300 km), the major city of the Namibian Atlantic Coast.
Visit the ‘N / A’an ku Namib Conservation Centre’, with houses an educational center for the wildlife. You pass through the Gaub and Kuiseb, two gravelly rivers preceding the arrival in Walvis Bay.
Lunch by the lagoon of Walvis Bay
Walk on the beach to observe flamingos, pelicans and seals, frequent citizens of the lagoon
Arrival in Swakopmund and hotel accommodation
Free dinner and group in a local restaurant where the fish is cooked superbly (not included in the tour)
Overnight stay

4th day
Drive to Walvis Bay (30 km).
Dolphin Cruise with the catamaran departing from Walvis Bay Waterfront. Visit the Bay Area with the characteristic lighthouse, platforms for the cultivation of oysters and several species of birds and seals. The tour includes a tasting of oysters. During the cruise you will meet three types of dolphins: the Heavy Side Dolphins, endemic to the Namibian coast, the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins and Dusky. If compatible ‘with the season of the tour you can also spot whales and killer whales.
Lunch on board the catamaran
Return to Swakopmund
Shopping or stroll along the promenade of Swakopmund or any optional activities (Aquarium, flights, fishing, ride your bike or quad, sand boarding, sky diving, surfing, etc …)

5th day
Early morning departure to Twyfelfontein (350 km).
Visit to Cape Cross, where you can see thousands of Cape Fur Seals. Then towards Uis, old mining town where you can buy semi-precious stones (Amethyst, Tourmaline, etc ..). You will then stop to the Brandberg, the highest mountain in Namibia with its 2573m, ancient sacred place for bushman.
Departure to Damaraland to Twyfelfontein where we will stop at the Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes.

6th day
Early morning departure to Etosha, Okaukuejo (350 km), with a stop at Twyfelfontein to the guided tour of the ancient petroglyphs of the Bushmen.
Lunch in Outjo
Departure, arrival and accommodation in tents at the camp located at the entrance of the Etosha National Park on the side of Okaukuejo
Game drive activities in the afternoon and at sunset outside the park near a pond, famous for the presence of blacks rhinos, elephants, lions and many species of antelope.
Dinner in front of the fire and night under the stars

7th day
Sunrise breakfast
Game drive activity for all the day in the western part of Etosha.
Back at camp in Okaukuejo
Overnight stay

8th day
Leaving for another long game drive inside Etosha N.P., going to Halali and visiting different waterholes.
Lunch at Halali with the possibility of swimming in the pool
Game drive proceeding further east and exit from Etosha N.P. at Namutoni Gate where you have to be before the sunset
Accommodation in tents and any activity in this area of the park
Overnight stay

9th day
Departure to Otjiwarongo to visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Your driver will do the will be possible to arrive there on time to observe the moment in which the cheetahs will eat.
Lunch at the Fund
You will start in the afternoon to the Waterberg Plateau, a 405.5Km² national park that stands as a sanctuary for rare and endangered species. You will see the same animals that you could find in the Okavango and Caprivi regions, such as roan antelope, sable antelope and tsessebe.
Accommodation in tents and any activity in this area of the park including a nice walk, very nice after 350 km of road!
Overnight stay

10th day
Drive to Windhoek (330 km)
Stop at Okahandja, the home of the largest market of wood carving of Namibia. The stalls operate on a local cooperative and offer a wide range of souvenirs really Namibia.
Drive to the Hosea Kutako International Airport, where it will arrive on time for check in
Possible transport to Windhoek for those who had a flight the next day

Transport for up to 6 people will be in a minibus and for 7 people and more in a Toyota bus / truck
Clients are limited to one soft, barrel type bag per person with maximum weight of 15kg, one medium sized hand luggage bag, one medium sized camera bag and a sleeping bag
We suggest a sleeping bag range of “3 – 4 season”.  Sleeping bags can be hired by prior arrangement
Airport transfers and pre-and-post safari accommodation can be arranged on request
